Lindsay Batesmith (she/her)
Cambodia 2015-2016
I am a Cambodia alum, and proud to say that I still eat Khmer food regularly (though I can't make it quite the same as my Khmer friends did). My day (and often night and weekend) job is to be the pastor of Rejoice Lutheran Church in Erie, Colorado. Rejoice is working to become a community hub where we are which means I'm learning all sorts of things about gardening and bee keeping. I live with my wife and our hyperactive dog who we're trying desperately to train as a therapy dog. I love to get outside am grateful I get to hike, ski, walk, and bike through the seasons each year.

Mexico 2018-2019
Hi, I'm Leah (she/her), and I'm an '18-19 YAGM Mexico alum! I grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College. During YAGM, I lived in Mexico City, splitting my time between an ecumenical social justice organization and a legal clinic for female migrants. Post YAGM, I earned my Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology, spent two years working with the CDC in Guatemala, and am now back in Minnesota working for a public health research center. I love traveling, reading, cooking, camping, working out, and watching women's basketball! I'm so excited to be re-connecting with YAGM and the next cohort of volunteers!
